After the approval in July 2013 and the start of construction the following May, Moore Central Park has made incredible progress in hopes to open early this year. Moore Central Park located on S Broadway Ave will become the center for family fun and fitness, birthday parties, and all outdoor community events. Here is a list of amenities for each facility to get you excited for its grand opening.

Recreation Center- The Station Recreation Center includes two full-size basketball courts, an equipped fitness area, indoor track, and locker rooms. Also inside will be specialty rooms tailored to accommodate craft workshops, group exercise classes, and community meetings.

Aquatic Center- The Station Aquatic Center will be the ultimate spot to cool off this summer. Along with a large lap pool and diving area, the aquatic center includes a lazy river, slides, and kid’s pool. There will also be a concession area with refreshments and plenty of shade to retreat from the hot sun.

Amphitheater- The amphitheater’s large covered stage is backed against the lake and looks out to concrete stadium seating. While it only seats 350 people, the amphitheater can accommodate up to a 1,000. Central Park has already announced some of their plans for the amphitheater including a summer concert series, movie nights, and other various community events.

Farmers Market- The hopes for the Farmers Market at Central Park is to be the go-to community market for meat, produce, homemade crafts and furniture. The Farmers Market will hold up to twenty local vendors and be accessible to food trucks. Beginning in April, the market will be open every Thursday and Saturday until October. Moore Central Park will also include a large playground area, lake, and an outdoor walking trail.
