The backbone of a community often is the local family-owned business.

The slogan “Shop Local” can be heard around town often, especially this time of year. It helps keep our dollars in our community.

So when a thriving locally-owned business is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, that is something to shout about! We want to give a big High Five to Therapeutic Touch Massage at 1291 W. Danforth Road in Edmond.

Owner Jennifer McRorie started Therapeutic Touch Massage in 2006 with a unique concept in mind. Her goal was to offer a more affordable massage experience especiallygeared toward people dealing with chronic muscular pain. Her belief is that massage should not simply be a luxury treatment but that the benefits of massage therapy should be attainable.

Originally in Downtown Edmond, Therapeutic Touch quickly outgrew its location as the concept caught on.

“Therapeutic Touch Massage grew much faster than I had ever expected,” said McRorie. “It continues to amaze me and I feel very blessed to watch it grow. I look forward to many more years of serving the Edmond community and surrounding areas the best we can!”

For as little as $45, clients can receive a one-hour deep tissue, Swedish, sports

or pre-natal massage while hot stone massages are just a bit more. They also offer facials, waxing services and packages to fit their clients’ needs.

Massage on your 10-year anniversary! We look forward to having you as part of the Edmond community for many years to come!
