The leaves are changing, the air is turning and everyone is holding cups, filled to the brim with Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Fall, wonderful fall. In Oklahoma, many enjoy fall a bit more simply, because it means a reprieve from the hellish summer heat behind them and the icy, windy winter that awaits. At Linked, we are pretty obsessed with the autumnal season which is why we’ve dedicated this month’s Top Five to it. We’ve laid out five ways you can enjoy the crisp, lovely season to the max.
The Great Pumpkin— No fall is complete without a painted, carved or simply picked pumpkin. There are tons of local pumpkin patches overflowing with all shapes and sizes of pumpkins. Pick one to decorate, one to admire and one to carve, and consider your home fall-ified!
Drink it in— Those PSL’s aren’t famous for nothing! Pumpkin-spiced drinks are all the rage, because they are delicious. So grab a cup of cheer and toast to the wonderful season. Not a pumpkin spice fan? Apple cider is a fantastic alternative!
Get moving— There’s no better way to enjoy the cool, clear fall air than to get right up in it. Many local fun runs take place in the fall. You don’t have to be a marathon king or queen to enjoy them, either. Find one near you and have the whole family participate!
Bake it— With fall comes a new slew of flavors. Cinnamon, spice and everything nice are prevalent in many yummy autumn treats. Find a recipe that meets your standards and have at it. Even if it’s not Martha Stewart approved, your entire home will smell warm and welcoming in the process.
A Family Affair— Chances are your little ones are just as thrilled for fall as you are. Take advantage of the lovely weather and new boost of excitement and plan a family fall fun day. Let them choose how to spend their Saturday as long as it stays with the theme of fall. Entertainment for the kiddos that you don’t have to fully plan? That’s what we call a win-win!
