Looking for a way to spice up your life, stay in shape and meet new friends in the OKC area?

Look no further than Oklahoma Sports & Social, more commonly known as OSSO. The last “O” doesn’t actually stand for anything, but according to OSSO, the acronym is a reminder that they are “Oh, So much fun!”

OSSO was founded in February of 2016 in response to the lack of organized sports in OKC and has already reeled in over 1,000 participants among 10 different leagues. The kickball league alone can have nearly 500 players at any given time. OSSO gives you the option to start a team with your friends or sign up as a free agent. Both the athletic and the hopelessly uncoordinated can find an OSSO league that suits their needs. If you consider yourself to be sporty, OSSO’s got you covered with classic, dependable sports such as flag football, volleyball and water polo.

If you’d rather get creative, try out a few of the organization’s more unique leagues. Soccer and golf enthusiasts alike will love learning to play footgolf, a delightfully imaginative combination of the two sports. If you’ve always loved baseball, but have never had luck aiming bat, try Chicago-style softball. Also known as mushball, the game is played without mitts and uses an enormous, squishy ball, making it easier to hit that elusive home run. Do you love playing volleyball, but wish that the court looked less like a tragic flashback to your high school gymnasium and more like an awesome scene out of Tron? Then sign yourself up for electric volleyball—every game is played after dark and LED lights are attached all over the net, ball and players.

All of OSSO’s leagues provide a relaxed, casual environment that makes it incredibly easy to meet new people and enjoy some friendly competition. In addition to athletics, OSSO organizes exclusive parties and pub-crawls so that players can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween or the end of an exciting season. Registering with OSSO will get you a team jersey along with special discounts at OSSO’s sponsor bar. To learn more about joining an OSSO league, visit ossosports.com.
