Lyric Theatre is bringing talent back to Oklahoma City this summer with the classic tale of The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy and Toto find themselves on an unexpected journey to the Emerald City and encounter new friends and enemies, along the Yellow Brick Road.

The production will be showing from July 12 to July 16 in the Thelma Gaylord Performing Arts Theatre at the OKC Civic Center Music Hall. The Wizard of Oz is the second show in Lyric’s summer season, which also includes Dreamgirls, Fiddler on the Roof and The Drowsy Chaperone.

Arden Walker, in her second year at Lyric, leads the cast as Dorothy Gale alongside director Ashley Wells and choreographer Matthew Sipress. David Coffee plays the Wizard and Renee Anderson is the Wicked Witch of the West. The cast also includes 28 children playing the many munchkins of Oz.

Tickets are now on sale and start at $30.00. Tickets can be purchased at LyricTheatreOKC.com and through the box office at 1727 N.W. 16 Street or by calling (405) 524-9312.
