School season has begun and kids of all ages have a few different opinions about being in school.

To get an inside look at what the beginning of a new school year means to a student, we decided to ask one! Meet Kinley Anderson. She’s in first grade at Westfall Elementary School. We asked her a few questions and here’s what she had to say. 

Linked: What was your favorite part of your summer vacation?  

Kinley: Kissing a dolphin in Mexico!  

 Linked: Do you like school? What’s your favorite class?  

Kinley: Yes! My favorite class is Math!  

Linked: What’s your favorite thing to play at recess?  

Kinley: I like to play on the toys! My favorite thing to do is rock climbing.  

Linked: What do you think you’re going to learn in first grade? 

Kinley: Math and numbers.  

 Linked: What do you want to be when you grow up?  

Kinley: I want to be an artist! I love painting the best, and I like crafting. I like to paint things that are outside.  

 Linked: What’s your favorite thing to eat at lunchtime?  

Kinley: All the food, but I really like Lunchables.  

Linked: What’s your favorite thing to do after school?  

Kinley: I like to go to soccer practice. My team is the Mystics. I also like watching American Ninja Warrior after school.
