The months of May and June mean shorts, sunglasses and, you guessed it, summer concerts. There’s something about the longer, warmer days that makes people want to blast the sweet tunes and jam out—outside, of course. This summer the concerts begin in Edmond on May 28 and are completely free to the public.  Facilitated by Edmond Parks and Recreation, the Concerts in the Park, a summer concert series, takes place at the Hafer Park Stage between 6:15 p.m.-8:45 p.m.

For those who love tasty treats, snow cones will be provided and bands like The Gotcha Covered Band, Zero 2 Sixty, Champaign Jam and Straight Shooter will serenade the community as the sun sets.  Concerts in the Park will feature a myriad of musical genres like Classic Rock, R&B, Bluegrass, Country and Pop. The Edmond Parks and Recreation encourages locals to bring lawn chairs and blankets and take a night (or two) to enjoy the musical stylings of the summer. The first concert will feature the bands Squeeze Box and Souled Out. Rock on!
