Local churches in Choctaw gear up for a city-wide prayer event called Prayer in the Park and Bilderbacks in Concert on June 17. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the local congregations will join together to pray for the communities of Harrah, Choctaw and the surrounding areas. The event is free to the public and will take place at the scenic Choctaw Creek Park on 2001 N. Harper. A concession stand will be open during the event.

“Come join the local churches as we pray for our community,” said Vivian Lantz, pastor at Lighthouse Family Church. “And don’t forget to bring your lawn chair!”

The Builderbacks are a family ministry who perform gospel music. They’re made up of Euel, Marsha, Blake and Cortni and travel across America performing inspirational songs. For more information about the Prayer in the Park event, call (405) 390-3100.
