It is time to break out your bow ties and shimmy into your Sunday best.

On April 21, the Deer Creek Schools Foundation will host its Inaugural Blue Tie Night at The Chevy Bricktown Events Center. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will include a seated dinner, drinks, both silent and live auctions and a few rounds of trivia. The night will also honor the men and women who helped begin the Deer Creek Schools Foundation 35 years ago.

The Deer Creek Schools Foundation, which began in 1981, provides funding for programs, supplies and technology that foster academic excellence for students across the Deer Creek school district. Funding brought forth through the foundation is also designated to offset the decline in educational funding allocated by the State of Oklahoma.

Budgetary concerns have been prevalent in past years and continue to be apparent for the current fiscal year. Therefore, the aim of Blue Tie Night, according to the foundation’s website, is to “bridge the gap between funding and the additional needs [the] school district has.”

The foundation is encouraging the support of Blue Tie Night through a variety of ways—businesses, families and individuals can become sponsors of the event. Blue Tie Night Sponsorship Levels include Presenting Sponsor at $10,000, Buck Sponsor at $5,000, Doe Sponsor at $2,500 and Fawn Sponsor at $1,250. By sponsoring at one of these four levels, attendees have the opportunity to reserve a table for the event. Individual tickets are also on sale for $150 each.

To purchase individual tickets, visit the event’s website at bluetienight.com. To reserve a table or become a sponsor, contact Kyle Williams with the Deer Creek Schools Foundation at (405) 605-0224 or email a completed sponsor form, which can be found at bluetightnight.com, to reservations@bluetienight.com.
