Once again, the University of Central Oklahoma is excited to host the Endeavor Games.  This community-connecting event for athletes with physical disabilities provides them with the opportunity to exhibit their talents to the world. This year, the 2016 games will take place June 9-16, and will once again feature talented children, adults and military service members playing the sports they love.

“This year’s games are going to be a great year,” said Coordinator for Adaptive Sports and Events, Heather Kohl.  “We have 10 different sports we are offering and expect a great turn out of participants. There will be a high level of competition as we have athletes that are preparing for the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. As always it will be a fun family event.”

The UCO Endeavor Games offers more than 10 sports and welcomes hundreds of athletes from across the nation. A few local venus that participate in the Endeavor Games are the UCO Wellness Center, Edmond North High School and Edmond Soccer Club Fields, among others. Athletes participate in sports ranging from archery to cycling to powerlifting to swimming.

For those interested in volunteering, the deadline is May 31. For more information about participating in the Endeavor Games, visit ucoendeavorgames.com.
