A Harrah resident is making the news for her thoughtful ministry and necessary work. Geneva Haury, a 79-year-old Harrah resident, offers locals something they need very much—hope and kindness.

Through Harrah Ministry Center and with assistance from Harrah’s First Baptist Church, Haury works to meet the various needs of her community through shopping, sorting, organizing and traveling into Oklahoma City in order to pick up supplies like groceries and clothes.

She also helps run the food and clothing pantry that locals can patron for free. In February, Haury was given with KFOR’s Pay it 4Ward award, an award that notices locals going above and beyond the call to care, as well as $400 to help with her ministry.
