There’s nothing like looking into an adorable pair of puppy eyes. Dogs love unconditionally, forgive almost instantly and provide a unique, life-changing companion to whomever decides to open their home. Country Roads Animal Rescue Society knows these universal truths better than most. According to their website, Country Roads “seeks to provide sanctuary for neglected, abandoned or stray animals while they are given the medical attention they need and the love they deserve.”
With such a worthy mission, it is no surprise local supporters, such as the Duncan Gals realty team recently adopted a dog from Country Roads and currently advocate for them.

Country Roads does their best to care for their animals. Many times the animals that come into their care often need medical attention. Country Roads provides this attention while making sure the pets are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and placed in foster homes for safe keeping until the animals find their forever home. In their mind, every animal deserves the love that Country Roads offers.
Currently, Country Roads is in need of donations of any kind as well as fosters and families looking to add a new addition to their home. Their biggest wish list item is for someone to donate acreage or a vehicle.
Maria Latham, Director of Country Roads, is passionate about her organization. “We rely deeply on the kindness of our community to open their hearts and homes to foster the dogs we are hoping to rescue. The more foster homes we have the more dogs we can save. It’s as simple as that! Fostering is such a rewarding experience; you get to see how your efforts make a direct impact and difference in the lives of the animals you bring into your home.”
